Houston SAP provides evaluations and assessments for individuals who have been asked by their employer, ordered by court or probation, or feel they may have a substance abuse problem. We provide short term individual counseling services to people in need of assistance with their alcohol, illicit drug or prescription drug problems. All evaluations and assessments include the use of scientifically based screening tools. We base our evaluations on the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria 2.

Tools utilized:
SASSI-3 (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory - adult) — self administered screening used as part of our comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment process.
SALCE Instrument (Substance Abuse Life Circumstance Evaluation) — 98 question adult substance abuse evaluation – available upon request. Currently being required for individuals who are being court ordered for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) violations.
JAVAA (Job and Vocational Attitude Assessment) — JAVAA content includes measures of attitudes, work relationships, recovery strategy, insight, emotional well-being, anger resolution and support systems. Utilized for evaluating your employee’s work readiness following a positive test for alcohol or other drugs, after an incident involving substances.
